Welcome to Hatha Yogashram. By enrolling in any of our yoga courses, programs, or services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read these carefully before making a booking.
These terms apply to all courses including: 100 Hour Yoga TTC, 200 Hour Yoga TTC, 300 Hour Yoga TTC, 500 Hour Yoga TTC, 200 & 300 Hour Kundalini Yoga TTC, Vedic Mantra Chanting TTC, Yoga Retreats (5, 10, 20 Days), and Online YTTC.
1. Booking & Deposit Policy
To secure your seat in any course at Hatha Yogashram, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit confirms your participation and reserves your place in the selected course batch. All courses begin on the 2nd of every month.
The deposit can be paid through:
- Bank Transfer / Wire Transfer
- Debit or Credit Card (via website payment gateway)
- UPI / Online Transfer (India only)
Please note:
- The deposit is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
- The deposit amount will be deducted from the total course fee.
- Due to limited seats, reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
2. Full Payment Policy
The remaining balance of the course fee must be paid on the check-in day at the school.
We accept cash payments in the following currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and INR.
Due to Indian taxation regulations, 18% GST is applied to all payments made through digital methods including bank transfer, Wise, Revolut, debit/credit card, or any other online payment platform. To avoid this additional charge, we recommend paying the remaining course fee in cash upon arrival.
3. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Applicants are advised to carefully consider their schedule and commitments before registering.
Deposit: Non-refundable in all situations without exception.
Cancellation 30+ Days Before Course Start: You may transfer your deposit to another course batch within one year of the original booking date.
Cancellation Less Than 30 Days Before Course Start: The deposit is forfeited. A new deposit will be required to secure a place in a future batch.
No Show / Late Cancellation: No refund or transfer will be issued.
4. Course Withdrawal Policy
If a student withdraws from the course after it has started, regardless of the reason, the course fee will not be refunded. Partial attendance does not entitle any student to a partial refund. We strongly recommend ensuring full commitment before enrolling.
5. Course Cancellation by the School
In the unlikely event that Hatha Yogashram must cancel a course, the school will refund the deposit paid by the student. However, transaction charges, bank transfer fees, and GST taxes applied to digital payments may not be included in the refund, depending on the payment platform policies.
6. Arrival & Check-In Requirements
All students must confirm their arrival details at least one week before the course start date. If the school does not receive arrival information and the applicant remains unresponsive, the school reserves the right to release the reserved seat to waitlisted applicants.
On arrival:
- Remaining course balance is due on check-in day
- A refundable security deposit (in INR) may be collected at check-in
- A valid government-issued photo ID is required
7. Code of Conduct
Hatha Yogashram maintains a respectful, disciplined, and spiritually-oriented environment. Students are expected to:
- Respect teachers, staff, fellow students, and local culture at all times
- Follow the daily course schedule and attend all mandatory sessions
- Refrain from alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and non-vegetarian food on campus
- Maintain modest and appropriate dress in and around the ashram
- Avoid public displays of affection and disruptive behavior
- Return yoga mats, props, and equipment clean and in their proper place
The school reserves the right to remove any student for misconduct, ethical violations, theft, harassment, or inappropriate behavior. No refund will be provided in such cases.
8. Health & Personal Responsibility
Yoga teacher training is a physically and mentally intensive program. Students are responsible for:
- Disclosing all medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations prior to arrival
- Practicing within their personal physical capacity
- Bearing all personal medical expenses during the course
Hatha Yogashram will not be held liable for injuries sustained during training if teacher instructions are not followed, or if undisclosed health conditions contribute to injury.
9. Attendance & Certification Requirements
Students will receive their Yoga Alliance USA certification upon successful completion of all requirements:
- Minimum attendance per Yoga Alliance standards (maximum 10% absence, for justified medical reasons only)
- Completion of all written assignments by the specified deadline
- Participation in peer exams and teaching practice sessions
- Passing final practical and written evaluations
Arriving late, leaving early, or lying down during class may be recorded as an absence. Failure to meet requirements may result in delayed or withheld certification.
10. Photography & Media
Photos and video recordings may be taken during course activities for promotional purposes. Students who prefer not to appear in any published media must inform the school in writing at the time of enrollment or during orientation.
11. Schedule & Curriculum Changes
The school reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to the course schedule, teachers, or curriculum due to unforeseen circumstances. All courses will continue to meet the required Yoga Alliance training hours and certification standards.
12. Accommodation & Meals
Accommodation is included in the course fee as specified at booking (private or shared room). The school provides sattvic vegetarian meals. Students with dietary restrictions or allergies must notify the school at the time of application; failure to do so may result in an additional surcharge. The school is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.
13. Privacy Policy
All personal information shared during registration will be kept strictly confidential and used only for course administration and communication. We do not share or sell personal information to third parties without consent, except where required by law.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application or paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
